We are excited to announce that we have arranged the best of Aichi to come and perform for you at the Chubu Walkathon!
We have quite an exciting line-up prepared for May 21st, and the bands can't wait to give you the show of a year!
HOSPYs, StarKat, OS☆U Girls
, Tomo Shaga Band, Game Over Humans, and the Jerks are looking forward to bringing music to your ears.
Below is a self-introduction and/or profile of each of the bands.
The HOSPY's started out in Nagoya in 1995 as a hospital band. We have played more than 150 gigs all over such as hospitals and various welfare projects.
Recently, we've been having a blast at Shooters. It's always an awesome performance! We usually play oldies (60-70 American pops) but in this year, Power English teacher Jack also plays as a guitarist with us.
We look forward to playing " Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You
," " Diana
," and other classics for you!
They are an international alternative rock band formed in Nagoya in 2013 with members hailing from the USA, Scotland and the Philippines. Their sound rocks from delicate to heavy with enough pop sensibilities to keep your head bobbing.
StarKat recently released their debut album Meiday which will be available at their Walkathon performance!
Tomo Shagger was a typical Japanese guy until his life was transformed. As he sat at his father's knee listening his vinyls, a dream was born. Inspired by singers like Ray Charles, Elvis, James Brown, and classic R&B singers, a great appreciation of American Blues and Jazz music grew and grew and the roots of Rock and Roll, R&B, Soul music and Funk flowed through his veins. With that, he gathered the multiple skills of the foreigners who settled in the Midland area of Japan, and started his very own band!
Today the Tomo Shaga Tribute Band loves to bring people together with the power of music!
" We are post 90's grunge. Imagine Sound Garden, Faith No More and U2 with a splash of Alice in Chains... Now you have Game Over Humans.
"
Originally forming over 10 years ago, the band has found the perfect sound with one part Brit, two parts Australian, and one part American. Today this rock band, formerly known as Molotov, is enjoying 2017 with a new single, a new music video and new shows to rock like the Chubu Walkathon!
" We are The Jerks! Our main purpose is to rock and enjoy life with the people around us. We play mostly rock cover songs but also play originals as well. We're looking forward to playing for you folks at this year's Walkathon! "
All of the above, plus other entertainment, international cuisine, and games & fun for the whole family!
